Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. After a brief period as a fashion model, she quickly transitioned to acting by appearing as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. Her first film part in the drama Nowhere. Her transition into major roles with her performances on American Beauty for which she received nominations for the BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned her wider attention. The year 2000 saw her was alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2001, she took on the leading role on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). The film also featured her in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun as well as the 2004 action feature Trauma. She appeared in HBO's dramatic series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as the Outstanding Cast Member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The filmography she starred in was Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the version to The Garden of Eden and a number of other films.
